Ssamjang (쌈μž₯) is a thick, seasoned Korean dipping paste made from a blend of fermented soybean paste (doenjang) and red chilli paste (gochujang). This classic condiment from Daesang O'Food has a deeply savoury, salty, and mildly spicy flavour profile, enriched with garlic, onion, and sesame for a complex, umami-rich taste. It is the essential companion for Korean BBQ, used as a dip for grilled meats like pork belly (samgyeopsal) and beef, which are then wrapped in lettuce or perilla leaves.
