What is Miwon?
Glutamic acid, an ingredient in MSG made by fermenting sugarcane, is the most common amino acid (protein component) found in nature.
It is a very safe natural ingredient that is abundantly contained not only in our country's traditional fermented foods such as soy sauce, cheonggukjang, and jeotgal, but also in foods such as kelp, tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese, broccoli, peas, fish, and meat, as well as in breast milk, which is the first food that babies ingest.
When used during cooking, it enhances the flavor of the dish.
